Augmented Reality Links and Resources

Augmented Reality Links and Resources-

NFC and QR Codes are a lot like augmented reality because they mend the real world with the digital one, here are some links and resources for you to learn more about augmented reality and why I love it as much as I love near field communication.

Wikipedia- Augmented Reality- Here is the infinitely useful Wikipedia article on augmented reality. You all know I?m a huge fan of Wikipedia and everything it does for us. Here is a sampling of what is there, ?Augmented reality (AR) is a term for a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data?

How stuff works- Augmented Reality- This website is brought to you by how stuff works, it tells you how it works and what it?s used for. It dabbles on the video game as well as cell phone side of the technology. ?This new technology, called augmented reality, blurs the line between what's real and what's computer-generated by enhancing what we see, hear, feel and smell.?

Mashable- Cell phone apps that offer augmented reality- This is a great article to read if you are interested in augmented reality AND have a smart phone. It gives you a quick overview of the app and tells you where you can find it for yourself! ?While Lawnmower Man may have led us to believe the future was a virtual one, it seems that in fact augmented reality (the overlaying of digital data on the real world) is where we?re headed.?

But remember, in some crazy world where I would only be able to choose one of these cool technologies, I would choose NFC each and every time.
