About me-

As I started this website off with, my name is Ed. And I am, without a doubt, a near field communication enthusiast. I was born quite a while ago in a small town in Maine. Today I live in Virginia(much warmer) with my wife Amy and our wonderful son Tom.

Below I will basically list the reasons why I am not qualified to be the man behind this website (lol). I don’t have a degree in near field communication, and to be perfectly honest I only have my Associate’s which is in Criminal Justice. Which as you can see I’ve put to good use. My original plan was always to take the civil service test and become a police officer but that never happened and now I’m too old. Now I enjoy working my way to retirement, doing various construction projects around the house and yard, off roading in my truck, sewing(I know, I don’t get it either, I just love it), “playing” the stock market, watching my new favorite show( Boardwalk Empire!), watching movies with my wife, and spending time with my friends and family. Last year we invited two lovely felines into our home, Jerry and Iselle, who are both wonderful little additions to our family. In fact, Jerry is trying to stand on the keyboard as I type these very words.

My near field communication interests include:

Coming up with new ideas for this website, actually writing this website, reading about nfc, reading about nfc enabled phones, using my phone as a credit card, and basically doing everything I possibly can using nfc. In fact usually only go to places that allow nfc payment. ( You heard me stores! Get on that!)

Here is my current phone: The Google Nexus (pure magic so far)

Here are the phones I’m looking forward to the most: Motorola “Bullet” and “Jet”

My hope is to eventually get into the field of near field communication. I really think I would enjoy implementing nfc readers to stores around the world
